In a tightly-contested pitcher’s duel, Chambersburg overcame an early deficit to safe a 2-1 victory towards Mifflin County Tuesday. The Huskies held a 1-0 lead after the primary inning, however the Trojans introduced dwelling two runs within the second inning to overhaul the lead for good.
Kylee Miller was masterful on the rubber in a complete-game victory for the Trojans. Miller racked up 5 strikeouts and allowed only one run over seven innings. Jaden Stull sparked the offense with one hit and two RBIs. Samantha Paetow went 3-for-3 with a double and reached the 100-hit milestone for her profession. Morgan Stockslager and Abagail Newman every completed the lean with one hit and one run scored.
Riley Hine and Arika Henry paced the Huskies with two hits apiece. Teammate Dakota Hershberger posted a double and one RBI, respectively.
